There are a number of certifications that distinguish trade practices and growing conditions of fine Arabica coffees. The following is a brief description of some of the certifications.

Certified Organic – Certified by Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA) to be pesticide and herbicide free for at least 5 years. The OCIA is an independent, internationally recognized organization.

Certified Fair Trade – Certified by Trans Fair Canada to ensure that farmers receive a guaranteed floor price for their coffee that is above the current market price. For more information on Fair Trade Coffees, check the website www.fairtrade.ca
